Digital Convergence is the process which media such as photographs, music and movies are converted into numbers, are digitalized and delivered across computer networks.
Three advantages that digital products are over their analog counterparts are that digital products are cheaper to make, digital products dont degrade with use or reproduction and the third advantage is portability and transmission.
